This arctic blast is keeping me indoors this weekend so I decided to mod some swimbaits. Anyone recommend a good tool to cut hooks?

And I also always wanted something to keep in my tackle bag in case of emergencies. Its been over a year since I had a hook through my hand I think I am overdue.

A small pair of dikes should do the job. I've used them on hooks and they work fine. If you get a pair of needle nose pliers you can cut hooks with the cutter part, and use the pliers to remove hooks from fish mouths.

I'm overdue! Been fishin 21 years and only had a small fly stuck into my elbow! That's it!
I've had some bleeders but never past the barb

I took a crank treble in the upper lip early this year, just barely past the barb. I was able to work it out after about 20 minutes luckily, ouch!

I just use a pair of DeWalt cutters, you can get anywhere for about $20. They go right through even large hooks like butter. One handed.
