West Reservoir County:Barstable just south of Yarmouth off from rt28 My son an I visit this pond many times in Aug. this time last week we cast a few off shore but would like to our kayaks an see if there any good fish in there . Has any one fish this body of water any good?
I have been fishin west res since 1985 and there are LOTS of very small bass there....never had a great day there as far as total weight for 5 bass but had many 60 bass days.....plenty of bait there with a huge herring run......methinks there is a stripe bass in there that is very large that got in there when I t was young thru the herring run...had that fish on twice and it acted like it didn't know it was hooked....never saw it
