Last season was my first season I tried jigs. Now I need to figure out what brand is the best quality. I have some BPS Enticer jigs . Big sale. Also grabbed a few from Jewel Bait and a few Duckett 4x4 . Any thoughts on favorite brand.
check the mass laws on jigs with lead - i believe it's gotta be an once or more ...n h has lead laws to....i'm trying to only buy led free - it sucks....major brands like eco pro and keitech start at 4-6 bucks for tungsten
My favorite was the original Catch em lures natural rubber jigs. I think Northern Bass Supply has them. I prefer an "arkie" style head and a wide gap hook for heavy cover. For rocks, I like Eakins finesse jigs. Skinny Bear makes some very nice finesse jigs also (landbigfish.com). Jigs are the most fun for catching bass.
if you dont care about the lead ban, give "dirty jigs" a look. I have been using them exclusively for several years. They make an arkie style pitching jig, a football jig, swim jigs and a NO JACK heavy cover flipping jig. If lead is an issue for you look up Ken at leadfreebassjigs. He is local out of Stoughton Ma and makes a great product. Another lead free local product is Boah hog jigs? I think I spelled it right. Both Ken and Jay are members here too
