First of all, there is no single bait that "always" works! What works one day, may not get bit at all the next day. I usually will start with a suspending jerkbait, if that doesn't produce I will fish a tube or a worm. I will also mix in a grub on a jighead, Countdown Rapala, rattle bait and chatterbait. You have to keep experimenting until you get bites!
