Is there anything in there? I have been twice from the shore and once in a kayak and have not had even a nibble. Is it just me or do fish actually exist in there? I've tried cranks, jerk baits, jigs, swim shad, flukes and senkos. Any suggestions?
Its tough to catch them during the day at spot. Especially now with the heat wave. AND The bucket bridge is now all over spot which really sucks. They leave trash everywhere!! Good old DCR will kick me out for fishing at night but doesn't check what the hell is going on during the day or check for a fishing license.....and spot pond is backup drinking water for the state????

They are in there and they are BIG. Spot is not for the faint of heart.
Get some 6" to 7" pike shiners and watch what appears.
First light is best bet. I did good with crawdads. If not fish jigs and grubs on the bottom. Expect to lose a lot of rigs. The place is all rock, but a few weed patches there. Tough fishing mostly. The water is so clear, I wonder if my 8# test spooks them?
There is a lot of trash around too. You wouldn't believe how much line is laying around, I pick it all up. It looks like they empty their spools out before they go home!?
Thanks for the tips guys! I need to put in some more time there to figure it out.
People who leave trash drive me crazy too. They are everywhere not just on the water. They are they same types that throw their coffee cup in the grocery parking lot and then leave their shopping cart behind your car.
I don't understand people leaving line. I even cut my tag ends into my tackle bag.
