I'm on vacation at Long Lake in Maine for a few days and I was wondering if anyone's had experience here? Im mostly just looking for large and small mouth. I'm way down at the tip of the lake in Harrison I brought my kayak so I have full run of the place. I'm even down to take a short drive if anyone has any experience at a nearby spot too.

Any info would be awesome! Feel free to PM me too. Thanks!

I fished there last year its a really big lake. I caught mostly smallmouth fishing docks. I have had good luck at Bear Pond down the road and also Kioka a little farther down. I also had luck on Storm swim shads and spinner baits at all three lakes.

A buddies family used to have a cottage up there.About 25 years ago I did very well with Smallies using a Silver/Black Rattle Trap, info is a lil outdated lol!!! At the time my Personal Best smallmouth came out of there, 3lbs 8 ounces and was my PB for about 10 years.

Thanks for the info guys. I ended up leaving late yesterday afternoon. The wind was pretty bad every day and that lake kicks up good so it wasn't much fun in the kayak. Between the conditions and obligatory family time I ended up with 2 smallies. I set the hook on something nice in a big pile of boulders but after a few seconds of fighting the line broke. It would be nice to go back with a larger boat and more time to really explore and fish. Still a great week though!
