Took the new kayak out for first outing. Loved it! Fishing wasn't great but kayak was comfy and sturdy. Friend had some nice blow ups on a mouse. I missed a good one on frog.first 2 fish were slime darts bet fell off at boat. I refused to let a slime dart be the first fish landed in yak lol. Caught small larry on spinner bait and lost a good size one off spinner. Either way felt good to be off shore.
That is such a coincidence! I have a Lure 11.5 on hold right now for when I get home and I'm going to pick it up asap! I have been fishing out of a Pelican Maverick 100, which isn't a bad kayak for paddling around, but it is not good for fishing! How do you like the lure 11.5? I have ready great things about it! What color did you get?
I have a 12' SOT, Perception Pescador angler, I bought used 2 years ago. Haven't been disappointed with it yet. Haven't done much in way of mods except the anchor trolley (highly recommend) and added a few more eyes for bungies. I have another scottie mount to install but because of the curve of the gunnels it is difficult to place. I'll be adding a fish finder next year. Can't wait.
