Dark Hollow used to be a decent place to fish but there was a winter die-off 2 winters ago, and then probably another one last winter since it was so cold for a long time and Dark Hollow is so shallow. A few years ago I pulled some good fish from there, but nothing since....

Spot Pond has some good fish but it is most productive between dusk and dawn since the bass often go deeper during daylight hours. The water is also super clear...if you can see them, then they can see you.

Good Luck!

being a newbie to the site, don't expect a lot of input. you are in Peabody. Go to City Hall at the mayor's office and get a permit for Spring pond. there is also Brown's pond. Flax Pond in Lynn has a lot of public access.

Everybody was a newbie at some point!!

Thanks for the tips, not quite sure what you mean about spring pond, is this closed for fishing unless you get a special permit? I don't want to march into city hall not having any idea what I'm talking about.

Spring pond is the Peabody reservoir. being a resident of Peabody, you can go to the Mayor's office and ask for a permit to fish Spring Pond. access from Spring Pond road or Sunset dr
