fishing line's the worst. i dump all of my trash in the boat and let it pile up until i don't feel lazy and decide to throw it all out. i think there are about 5 large ice coffee cups in there right now.

2weeks ago, I was out and saw an old camp where someone had been partying. there was a trashed camp chair and about 30 empty beer cans and a couple of broken bottles. had it not been for the high winds and the anticipated difficult paddle back (proved to be a good decision, but that's a different story), I would have bagged it all and towed it back with me. last year, the city put up restriction signs and this was one of the reasons.
Also, if you see people actively trashing an area, say something. I know no one enjoys being confrontational, but they know what they're doing. Usually the shame of being called out on it makes them stop (and even sometimes pick the crap up). If that doesn't work just start taking some action shots of em with your phone (you're in a public park, no right to privacy especially if you're gonna break all the rules).
