First decent bass of 2014

Got skunked over the weekend on a canoe trip, caught this guy stopping off in Lakeville for a few casts. All the bass up until now have been small ~1lb bass.

Hit a white bass pattern 1/4oz Rat-L-Trap with blood specks and red hooks. Fished with a slow yo-yo retrieve. Was using my ultralight bass setup, 5'5" Mitchell Avocet rod with a Shimano Sienna 1000 reel spooled with 10lb test Power Pro braid.





Only fished for maybe 10 minutes, wish I could have stayed longer!

nice job. i've had the opposite this year so far and have been catching quality over quantity. but with the cold weather and slow days i think i'd rather get numbers haha
