im trying to find some new places to fish other than my local 2 or 3 locations that i have near by of mattapoisett. but not have to travel to far but catch different type of species of fish. so im looking for some one who has fished the assonet river in assonet. that can tell me about the river i have an 8 ft boat that has a flat bottom and is powered by a trolling motor. but i also have a canoe that i can use. can you tell me anything about this river as far as what to expect from it and how easy of an access is the boat ramp to put in. and any other info you can give would be appreciated
