braid on a spinning reel

Was wondering how to spool the braid on a spinning reel how to put the mono backing on , and what kind of knot to use to connect

1. Use a double or triple overhand (surgeon's) knot to attach the mono backing to the spool

2. spool on enough mono to just cover the spool and protect it from the braid cutting in,

3. join the mono to the braid with an albright knot (treat the mono as the leader portion of the knot) or use a uni knot.
