in the summer i like to fish for catfish but every where i go they dont get much bigger than a pound or two anyone kno of any good spots where i can get a hog
Toss some dead shiners and some worms on the bottom.
Any pond could hold big bullheads. Try muddy ponds.
Since many people don't fish for them.
You gota do some exploring!
I was fishing at a pond last summer I forgot my bass fear at home damn it! So I was using small bass worms and panfish.
I had night crawlers so I tossed one on the bottom.
10 mins latter I was pulling in a 2 lbs bullhead.
I've caught some babies in a net. At a small pond in marshfield.
i usually only fish in the blackstone river soo maybe thats the problem
i use stew beef from the supermarket its like 4 bucks for a a lot of bait it stays on the hook great and i catch em like crazy any where i go even caught pickerel off of it
Bell pond in worcester when in high school I have seen a couple 6 foot long cats swimming in the shallow areas. Have been thinking about fishing for them there but don't have the time to fish them. Maybe this summer I can get into some big ones

imma try eels at point judith RI offshore havent tried them there yet usually use squid see wat thatll get me hopefully a nice striper or bluefish
Toss down an eel at block island for a real monsters of the deep.
That is by far the best spot to catch monsters.
Stripers run April through late October.
Earlier and later further south you go.
My striper season where I live is may through mid-late October.
All depends on how bad the winter is.
Last spring I caught my first striper march 23 very hard to do where I live! In a spot not known for its holdover striper fishing
I slammed stripers last April
It was an awesome year. It's because of the winter.
The water never got cold. So the stripers were feeding earlier then normal. I tried for years to catch a striper in April.
Instead I caught 3 in march and over 100 in April!
Hell you can catch em all year In some rivers. They spawn I. Freshwater!
Schoolies run first then the big cows
Early season try rivers. Water is warmer. And they will follow the herring.
Some very large bass will be caught early in the season far up rivers.
