Hello everyone, I'm new to fishing and to this website. I was hoping if you guys could help me out with some knowledge on good places to bass fish near Milford.

I caught this <------- bass at Sudbury reservoir after 3 hours... I caught 3 others there in the spring but that's it. I mean that's it that's all the I've ever caught. Went there two other times with no luck.

Thank you!

Hopedale pond

Pratt pond (Upton)

North pond

Echo lake

Charles river

Beaver pond (Bellingham)

Lake Poulatic (Medway)

Lake Winthrop (Holliston)

These would be my top 8 places in Milford and surrounding towns.

Good Luck!

Caught one of my biggest bass ever at Beaver but you really need a boat very weedy and shore access not the greatest.

Fishing is definetly not allowed in Echo Lake. The Milf Water Company is always up there and they have zero tolerance for illegal fishing.

Last year the local newspaper had a picture of a large LMB caught in Milford Pond that was reported to be 9lbs but looked to be around 6 maybe 7lb's.

Yeah didn't think so fished milford pond when I was younger some nice bass in there and yeah think I know that spot in Marlboro Sud was on fire earlier when water was low I wouldn't bother going anywhere else(that and its 5min from my house)have to know right spots real hit or miss now.I remember ice fishing on Echo when I was in my teens had a bass so big couldn't fit through our hole. But wouldn't risk it now we were young and dumb as the saying goes.

If you are looking for some spots around Milford you should consider Lake Winthrop in Holliston where there are some dang big fish .... also there is a ramp at Milford Pond at the back of the Little League field parking lot off Rte. 85, might be worth a try. Another consistently good place would be North Pond with canoe access from the dam on the Milford side or on the Upton Rd side in Hopkinton there is public access just before crossing over the water and before heading up the hill towards Upton and Angels Flower shop.

No prob if you have any luck you have to promise to take me out in the canoe ha ha!Used to go out in 3 man canoe with my friends dad when I was a kid and toss rubber worms then switch to trolling crappie poppers at dusk caught some huge crappie in there. My mother still lives in Bellingham I'm shore bound(have a john boat but brother in law took back charger for my battery) next time I'm in that area I should hit up old Box pond and see if I can toss anything from shore at Beaver I fished those places constantly when I was young caught some monster bass out of both always liked beaver a little better water was cleaner but needed a boat or fish only in spring so much cover for bass hard to find all of them thats why they get so big ha ha!
