it was great, until chris dropped the fish that would of put us in the money with less then 30 minutes left.............
We've had that happen to us (Northshore) in the past. Last year we were at a cartopper and lost a 3 lb'er at minimum, as we were lipping it into the boat. We never used to carry a net and started to after that. Probably not the same circumstances, but kinda similar. In that particular case, we still had 3 other big fish already on board and won that tourney regardless (No Shawn, not Oldham. We won a couple last year so get over it brother
), so we were lucky. We've also had fish jump out of the live well while checking it, until we remedied that by using a rope stringer and tying it to the cooler handle outside, just in case.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger and hopefully we've learned from our mistakes.
