Not that i was around then, But in the 1800's it was named Metropolitan water works basin, where the name the Met came from.allso the sudbury reservior as it has been drained a lot for dam work!!
Dam i wish i could put my boat in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well that explains why the water was so low!! (No one tells me anything). It looks like it's gonna be low by about 5 feet for the next two months while they work on the dam.

I've only caught a few big ones there, but have always suspected there are some huge lunkers in the depths if only you could get a boat out there, or even over to some of those islands in the middle.

Although, I have seen boats and kayaks there occasionally, even though it's clearly posted no boats.

Can't wait till it opens for fishing this weekend. Smile
