I've been hearing a lot about the shaky head lately, so naturally I figure I'll have to give it a shot. What type (brand, style, etc) worm seems to work best on a shaky head?

Hey - started using Shakey Heads this year, and have to say I have caught all my biggest fish on them. It's also accounted for the most fish in terms of quantity as well.
I've been using a combination like below. Not a big fan of this type of hook though as it ends up tearing up your worm pretty bad -may switch to the cork screw type in future. Matched up with a Zoom Finese Worm - brown natural color has worked best for me. These worms have a flat underbelly.
I guess they say SH works best in the colder months, and true enough it's slowed down for me recently.

Thanks for the info. I just picked up some zoom shaky head worms today along with some strike king jigs, although I couldnt seem to find the ones with the spring in a non football head style.

x2 on the yum shakealicious. im with creaturefind on this one. those things look kinda odd and i wasnt sure what to make of it until i started fishing them. they are a great shaky head worm. as an added bonus if your a believer in attractants then you should be happy because most say yum has the best attractant in the business....
