Jeezus, that's nasty looking. With all the stories about flesh eating bacteria these days the doctor must have been crapping himself.

The nurses were all impressed that I WALKED into the er and said that pain was only a 2 rather than 10 lol. You should see under the bandage, its a hole as fat around as a sharpie where the initial bite was then a 2 inch scalpel incision where the dr cut me to.open it up and drain. Very. Painful and ugly stuff

Holy s*** your lucky to be alive! LOL
Nasty, cover that thing.

U get used to it after a while. I fish every night after work for usually 4 hours and I see and hear some crazy stuff that most guys don't get to experiance. Its not for everyone which is why.I.love it, I never have to worty about anyone being at my spots crowding me up, and there are different fish with different mindsetd at the spots than the usual dayshift fish. U get more reaction strikes and fishing is based entirely on sound and feel, it heightens your senses

Long sleeves, long pants, SOCKS if you're wearing sandals, and one of the mosquito nets to cover your head and a large brimmed hat.

I hate the bats. I dont worry about much out there but the bats freak me out a tad. They echo your lures and line and I have been hit by them as well.

If they ever run into me, I think that would be it for me. A few around my house have almost got me. Right between the house and garage it's like a bat highway.

One of the best "critter" stories I have is the coyote situation. 3am, windows open and they make a kill or someting in the backyard. All of them start howling at once. It sound like a 100 of them. Not a nice way to be worken up from a deep sleep.

They don't eat much

Here's what my mystery bug bite looks like as of lastnight. This is after it was lanced and drained.

90% sure its not. Keep in mind it only looks this bad from being lanced.the dr sliced a flap of skin with a scalpel to drain out the infection

That bite looks disgusting? Are you on any antibotics?

I have been bite and stung by all sorts of bugs fishing. They can easily ruin a day of fishing. I leave next week for Alaska and through trail and error this is how I plan to fend of the bugs up there.

To start with you need a bug spray with at least 40% DEET. Anything lower I wouldn't bother with. Mosquito braclets work and are pretty cheap, I got mine for $3. Bug resistant clothing helps to, but is expensive. I think they are good for about 50 or washes. I only go with the bug resistant pants, I can usually swat anything at eye level. Don't where any deodorant or cologne this just draws them in. And some people get bite less than others. I think people have different pheromones that make them more or less suspectable to insects.

Is the iodine outside of the marker line or is that frigging thing growing. Did something lay eggs in there???

Keep an eye on that it could be extremely dangerous, any changes don't wait and see, get to an E.R...
