5/11/14 - Lake Quannapowitt
Vin and I got out for a 5 hour trip (730-12:30). Water temp was up 5-6 degrees to 61 from last Sunday. Beautiful day! Wind kicked up a little bit as the day went on, but still awesome weather. Water clarity is no a strong suit of this place although it was a little better than normal. Find a few beds here or there, but not much happening with them. Most fish we caught where in with the shallow wood. Vin had about 8 Bass with a 3lb 1oz, 2-1/2lbs, and 2lbs being his best of the day. I had about 6 Bass with 2lb 11oz, 2lb 2oz being my best. About 12lb 6oz for out best 5. I unfortunately broke off a good 3lb+ early...I forgot to check my line/knot from the day before. The fish surged at the boat, and I must of had a knick in my knot from the Webster tourney. Still a great day on a tough fishery! All fish had fat bellies, feeding time!
where is the ramp located? what street? i been trying to find it. The wifey wants to put the boat in there.
The ramp is narrow and there's a stupid buoy right behind it. Sometimes there's a Jon boat on it and you have to work around it. Quannapowit is definitely a slow fishery.
What did you think of the ramp by the way.
I may need to spend some more time on there, I live like half a mile away. I was always under the impression it was one of the slower fisheries in the area.
